Project: Drainage & Garbage Cleanup for Improved Home Safety

Objective:

To clear the drainage system in front of the house and remove accumulated garbage behind the house to prevent flooding, pests, and health hazards while enhancing curb appeal.

Work Scope

1. Drainage System Cleaning (Front of House)

✔ Remove Debris – Clear leaves, mud, and blockages from gutters and street-side drains.
✔ Check Pipe Flow – Ensure downspouts and drainage pipes are unobstructed.
✔ Slope Adjustment – Regrade soil near drains to direct water away from the foundation.
✔ Weed & Root Removal – Eliminate vegetation clogging the drainage path.

2. Backyard Garbage Removal

✔ Collect & Sort Waste – Separate recyclables, organic waste, and non-biodegradables.
✔ Dispose Properly – Haul away trash using a 5-ton truck or waste bins.
✔ Pest Control – Spray disinfectant to deter rodents and insects.
✔ Level Ground – Fill any pits or uneven spots left after cleanup.

Equipment & Team

  • Tools: Shovels, rakes, wheelbarrow, pressure washer (for drains), gloves, trash bags.

  • Labor: 2-3 workers (1 for drainage, 2 for garbage clearing).

  • Disposal: Dump truck or municipal waste collection.

Expected Results

✅ Free-flowing drainage – No more water pooling near the house.
✅ Clean backyard – Eliminate foul odors and pest breeding grounds.
✅ Improved safety – Reduced slip hazards and structural water damage.

Time Estimate: 1–2 days (depending on waste volume).

Next Steps:

  • Schedule waste pickup after sorting.

  • Install a mesh cover on drains to prevent future clogging.

  • Consider planting grass/plants in cleared backyard areas.
